Production Technician
Location: Vancouver, BC
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: $65,000 – $85,000 CAD per year
About the Role
We are seeking a Production Technician to join our Vancouver manufacturing team. This role supports day-to-day production operations and plays a key part in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing processes.
You will work rotating 8-hour shifts (days and nights), three shifts per week, contributing directly to production execution, equipment monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Production Operations
- Perform a wide range of production tasks, including loading, unloading, transporting, cleaning, labeling, and operating production equipment
- Support multiple stages of the manufacturing process to ensure smooth and efficient production flow
Equipment & Maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections of production equipment
- Identify and report maintenance needs, defects, or irregularities
Documentation & Reporting
- Accurately record production data, activities, and order progress in internal systems
- Ensure production records are complete and up to date
Continuous Improvement
- Identify process inefficiencies or deviations
- Communicate improvement opportunities to supervisors
- Participate in operational improvement initiatives
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety, environmental, and quality regulations
- Actively promote a safe work environment
- Identify and respond appropriately to potential hazards
Housekeeping
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Ensure production lines and workspaces meet housekeeping standards
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong understanding of production operations and equipment
- Ability to work rotating 8-hour shifts
- Physically capable of bending, twisting, lifting, and carrying loads of 5–8 kg / 10-16 lb
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Preferred
- Experience in construction or related industries
- Ability to operate specialized or advanced manufacturing equipment
